In 2015, UN member states adopted the 2030 Agenda for Sustainable Development, which is a 15-year plan to achieve 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs). The goals emphasize the interconnectedness of the three dimensions of sustainable development: economic, social and environmental. The goals are integrated and indivisible and balance the three dimensions of sustainable development. With this approach, the SDGs aim to leave no one behind and ensure that all people enjoy peace and prosperity by 2030. The 2030 Agenda is fully consistent with the “Sufficiency Economy Philosophy” of His Majesty the late King Bhumibol Adulyadej.
